Executive education in Los Andes: among the best in the world
The Executive Education programs that are part of the Faculty of Business Administration at the Universidad de los Andes were classified as being among the top 40 in the world according to the Financial Times Executive Education 2020, which is the most significant global indicator for business and administration schools.

Los Andes is ranked number 39 in the world, which is a jump of five places since 2019. The university occupies the fourth highest position in Latin America and is the only Colombian faculty on the list.

In addition to the Universidad de los Andes, the other schools in the top five are: la Fundação Dom Cabral de Brasil, the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas de la Universidad Panamericana de México (IPADE), the INCAE Business School de Costa Rica, and the Universidad Austral IAE de Argentina.
 
According to the dean of the faculty, Veneta Andonova, “For the Faculty of Administration, Executive Education is one of the main pillars of our strategy to have an impact on organizations and the country. Our offer adapts to real problems and organizations’ needs to address relevant subjects through innovative methodologies that allow managers, executives, and professionals to transform organizations where they work.”

Corporate and Open Programs



This classification divides programs into two categories: Open and Custom (Corporate) programs and the following factors are considered for their evaluation: teaching methodologies, standard of participants, monitoring participants after they have returned to their place of work, percentage of female participants, and percentage of international participants.

The Corporate Programs at the Faculty of Business Administration were ranked 48 in the world and fifth in Latin America. The particular elements that stood out for being positive were the teaching methods and materials, program design, faculty, new skills and learning, as well as customer satisfaction with all these elements in relation to value for money. Additionally, the growth and diversity of the teaching staff were also elements that scored well.

The Open Programs were raked 44 in the world, which was a jump of nine places compared to the 2019 results, and the third highest ranking in Latin America. The highest-scored elements were teaching methods and materials, faculty, and new skills and learning, as well as growth and the trainings that take place outside Bogotá and Colombia.
