Los Andes professor is the new ASPE vice-president

Silvia Caro Spinel, professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was named vice-president of the Academy of Pavement Science and Engineering (APSE). Caro Spinel has a PhD in Philosophy from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de los Andes. She is currently part of the Structures and Geotechnics Research Group.

"This choice will ensure successes for the future our organization", claimed Charles Schwartz, the current vice-president of the ASPE committee and professor at the University of Maryland.
