With an average of 50 million pesos collected per semester, Fopre Café Week once again brought together the Uniandina community in solidarity and generosity.

With the participation of 18 restaurants, Fopre Café Week was once again held. This semi-annual event, which aims to gather resources for the Fund of Special Programs -Fref-, was held from April 27 to 31, 2017 in the Plazoleta Lleras of the University of the Andes.

In this version, the Community Construction Headquarters carried out, for the first time, an activity that made it possible to sensitize and raise awareness among the university community about the use of funds collected by Fopre.

That is why during the Fopre Café Week, 6 postmen arrived at the Plautlet Lleras to deliver to the participants of the event the 220 emotional letters of thanks written by the beneficiaries. The moment was totally moving and as a result, 200 community members responded to letters written by some of the students who have benefited from the Fund.

Since its inception in 2007, Fopre has benefited 21,715 students with food aid, photocopying, materials, transportation and accommodation. It should be noted that in 2015 and 2016, 25% and 20% of beneficiaries, respectively, correspond to students who have other types of support, such as I Want to Study and Be Pilo Paga, among others.
